The two companies are direct neighbours. Recently, they decided to enter into a merger for their own consumption. Since the beginning of 2021, SwissPrimePack AG has been purchasing sustainable solar power from NRG B AG, which has implemented a photovoltaic system on the roofs of Oeler AG. 4500 panels adorn the roofs of the buildings. Around 430000 kilowatt hours of electricity are generated annually on 4300 square metres. SwissPrimePack AG uses 90 percent of this.
